SALIGAO: Two Saligao men have been charged by the Saligao police for allegedly outraging a minor girl’s modesty.
According to police, on Sunday, a 51-year-old woman filed a complaint claiming that on Saturday, residents of Livrament Waddo, Sangolda, Shivram alias Arun Naik and Damodar Naik (25), got into a quarrel and threw stones at the complainant’s cat out of a shared motive.
Additionally, Shivram insulted the complainant’s modesty by using foul language to mistreat her young daughter.
Later, Damodar threatened the complainant’s little daughter with severe consequences after breaking the chain of the main compound gate and throwing stones at the complainant’s home. This put everyone’s safety in jeopardy.
Additionally, it is said that the accused doused the complainant and her little daughter with pepper spray. Sections 125, 118(1), 352, 351(3), 79, and 324(3) in conjunction with Section 3(5) of BNS 2023 and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act 2003 have been reported as violations by the Saligao police.
