FATORDA: Two persons sustained injuries in a road accident reported near Apollo Pharmacy, Fatorda, on Monday evening.
As per the complaint filed by Head Constable Wilton Rebello of Fatorda Police Station, the accident occurred on July 7 at around 4:20 PM when Sahil Naik, a resident of Dongorwada, Fatorda, and native of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, was riding a Yamaha FZS motorcycle in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Arlem towards Fatorda.
Near Apollo Pharmacy, Naik allegedly rear-ended an Aviator scooter that was moving in the same direction and then rammed into a parked Bullet motorcycle on the roadside. The impact caused both Naik and the Aviator rider, identified as Russel Ricky of Fatorda, to fall onto the road.
Naik sustained grievous injuries to his left leg and right hand, along with other bodily injuries. Ricky also suffered bodily injuries in the incident.
Fatorda Police are investigating the case further.
