Ponda: Two persons sustained injuries after their scooter was rear-ended by a car in a case of rash and negligent driving near the Satyanarayan Temple service road in Dhavli, Ponda.
According to a state complaint filed by Head Constable Ramdas Gawas of Ponda Police Station, the incident occurred on July 29 at around 3:00 PM. The accused, identified as Kedar Ogale, a resident of Curti, was allegedly driving a WagonR car in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from the GVMs Circle towards Dhavli Junction.
Police said that when the vehicle reached near the Satyanarayan Temple, it collided with an Activa scooter traveling in the same direction. The impact caused injuries to both the rider, Santosh Naik, and the pillion rider, Sumitra Naik—both residents of Dhavli, Ponda.
A case has been registered against the driver for endangering human life. Further investigation is being conducted by HC Ramdas Gawas (Badge No. 4579) of Ponda Police Station.
