Their 3-1 victory over hosts Wilred Leisure Sports Club at the DSYA ground in Curtorim marked a significant milestone in their campaign. Key players Ashwin Fernandes, Dexten Fernandes, and Aaron Fernandes played pivotal roles in securing this crucial win.
The match was a testament to Velsao SCC’s relentless attacking prowess. From the outset, they pressured the Curtorim defense, with Ashwin Fernandes breaking the deadlock to secure a 1-0 lead at halftime. After the break, Wilred Leisure created several scoring opportunities but struggled to capitalize. Velsao SCC capitalized on this, extending their lead through Dexten Fernandes.
