FATORDA: Goa Forward Party (GFP) Party Chief Vijai Sardesai has expressed his opposition once more to Congress MP Francisco Sardinha’s potential re-nomination for the next Lok Sabha elections.
In front of Sardinha and other Congress leaders, Sardesai made it clear at a meeting with Manikrao Thakare, the All India Congress Committee representative for Goa, that he was against Sardinha, as he had previously stated.
He stated that their intention is not to offer recommendations for congressional nominees, but rather to draw attention to the potential consequences of awarding the ticket to a specific individual.“It is our responsibility to inform as an alliance partner,” he declared. The Fatorda MLA stated during the meeting that it was a courtesy call.
“I was out of Goa, so I was unable to attend the INDIA bloc’s first state-level meeting, which took place in the city recently.
Sardesai stated, “We have conveyed our apprehensions,” but the Congress has the final say over nomination for the South Goa Lok Sabha seat.
