MARGAO: Goa Forward Party (GFP) President Vijai Sardesai today has written to the President of India Ram Nath Kovind urging him not to the Goa Liberation Day function on December 19.
Vijai in his letter has said that the Pramod Sawant led BJP governemnt in the state is celebrating diversion of River Mhadei, Coal transportation and hub and the important double tracking issue.
“We have written a letter to President of India urging him not to attend the oa Liberation Day function on December 19 as the state governemnt wants to celebrate the diversion of mhadei,coal hub important double tracking issue,”Vijai said
Goa Forward Party (GFP) President and former Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sardesai boycotted the State Level organizing Committee (SLOC) meeting for Celebration of 60th year of Goa’s Liberation held at Secretariat saying that the the celebrations were contratry to the state Goemkars were facing.
In a tweet, he said, “I #boycotted the #SLOC meeting for the Goa Liberation Day celebrations hosted by @DrPramodPSawant as this is contrary to the current state #Goemkars are facing. What @goacm really wants to celebrate is the betrayal of #Goa over #COVID19 #DoubleTracking #coal #Mhadei & #Finances.”
“On this Liberation Day, #Goemkars will remember the recklessness and insensitivity of the @DrPramodPSawant #government that chooses to celebrate while numerous of #Goans continue to struggle financially, medically and socially during these #challenging times,” he said in another tweet.
