New Delhi: Former US President Donald Trump has declared that the United States is equipped with what he described as a virtually unlimited supply of medium and upper medium grade weapons, asserting that the country is well prepared for a prolonged military conflict if required.
In a message posted on Truth Social, Trump stated that US stockpiles of mid level munitions have never been stronger. He said current reserves are sufficient to sustain long running wars and claimed these weapons surpass the quality of comparable arms held by other nations. According to him, conflicts could be carried on indefinitely using these supplies alone.
While expressing confidence in the availability of mid tier weaponry, Trump acknowledged that stock levels of the most advanced arms are not yet at his desired level. He noted that although the United States maintains a solid supply of high end systems, additional top grade weapons are stored in overseas locations and could be accessed if needed.
Trump also directed sharp criticism at former President Joe Biden over the handling of military inventories. He accused Biden of transferring large quantities of advanced equipment to Ukraine without adequately replenishing domestic reserves. Trump claimed that billions of dollars worth of sophisticated weaponry had been provided abroad without ensuring replacement at home.
Referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump argued that excessive military assistance had weakened US preparedness at the highest level of armaments.
He concluded by asserting that during his previous term he had significantly strengthened the American military and that efforts to reinforce defence capabilities are ongoing. Emphasising readiness and confidence, Trump maintained that the United States remains fully stocked and prepared to prevail in any extended confrontation.
