Minister. Instead of boasting your 2 bungalows, can you tell us how much waste you have removed from Sonsodo, Sada, or Panaji?
What work you have done as an RDA Minister or the Ports Minister.
People are joking in Calangute that one of the US’ air-strike on the Taliban and ISIS missed and fallen on the Calangute Baga road as you can see huge potholes. The road has become almost unmotorable.
Mr Lobo, through your good offices and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which you are champion at, you can quickly repair this road in days, only if you want it to be.

On Friday, Minister for Waste Management Michael Lobo boasted of owning or co-owning 12 bungalows in Goa and substantiating the huge asset; he questioned why Goans should not own properties or assets when Delhiwalas buy properties here in wholesale.
Well, Mr Lobo, whether it is a Goan or an outsider (Delhiwalas), nobody is restricted to buy land in Goa as per our Constitution. So justifying the purchase of property just because Delhiwalas is buying is not correct.
Also, nobody questioned how many bungalows you have; the journos just asked you about the property being developed in North Goa, which the Congress alleged was illegal. Neither the people nor the journalists are interested in how many hotels, properties, and luxury cars you have amassed in the last 10 years. It is natural, at least in Goa, for an MLA or minister’s assets to jump 200-300 or even 500 p.c in just one tenure. Isn’t it Mr Lobo?
People are more interested in what work you have done in the last 10 years. With all fanfare, you took over the reins of Minister for Waste Minister. Instead of boasting your 2 bungalows, can you tell us how much waste you have removed from Sonsodo, Sada, or Panaji?

People are more interested in these issues. They do not want to know which party you will jump into – Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Goa Forward or the Goa First, which you plan to launch soon.
Yes, you are a businessman before being a politician. You had two hotels even before you entered the Assembly, and hence we give you the benefit of the doubt that the assets are “legally” acquired.
But, Mr Lobo – known as Robinhood of Calangute, why boast of such things when the people are already frustrated with the government and politicians.
You are a legislator of a tourism-dependent constituency, and you have seen how taxi drivers, auto-rickshaws, shack owners, and motorcycle pilots struggle to make two ends meet.
People are struggling to pay EMIs, insurance, power bills, water bills, taxes.
It took you almost two years to come out in the open and oppose the Goa Miles taxi app. Were you waiting for the election time to come out in the open and fight the GoaMiles app?
Sir, this is not the time to play politics or boast of your assets.
Instead, if you could do your little and support the tourism-dependent businesses would be of great help.
For we all know how much money the BJP ministers and MLAs have made in the last 10 years, and the rule is no different from what was witnessed from 2007 to 2012 under Digambar Kamat.
This only proves that in Pramod Sawant’s Raj, ministers don’t shy away from disclosing assets? They know when their boss is a master in this; what they have is peanuts.
