125 buses incrurred diesel expenditure of Rs 6.3 lakh without any correspondence or requisition

PANAJI: While the Goan commuters waited and waited for their regular buses to go to their offices and regular works, the State Transport buses were busy ferrying the supporters of a particular political party for elections in neighbouring state of Karnataka.
The Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho, replying to question tabled by RGP MLA Viresh Borkar, said that there were 125 buses sent to Karnataka during elections.
As per details provided 125 buses covered distance of 29,825 kms and burned diesel worth 6,30,513.
What is shocking is that there was no correspondence for requisition of these buses.
“No Correspondence has been received to make the transport arrangements of the buses for the rally in Karnataka,” Godinho said.
No EV buses were sent to Karnataka for rally between 02.05.2023 to 03.05.2023.
In absence of correspondence the question is who paid for the diesel bill of Rs 6 lakhs.
The KTCL is already running in losses and such largesee could spell doom for teh corporation.
