PANAJI: Law Minister Nilesh Cabral today said that he will present a Whitepaper in this regards to the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in regards to pre-marriage counseling.
“Let CM take a call,” he said. In 2020, despite the pandemic the state saw 350 divorces, this amounts to nearly one divorce per day, he added.
He further said that Goa government has signed MOU with Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) to facilitate the implementation of several renewable energy related projects including increasing the use of electric vehicles in Goa.
“CESL will bring in manufactures of electrical vehicles ,lithium charging station etc to the state, give combined subsidy on purchase of electric vehicles, provide loans and also offer electric four wheeler vehicles on lease,” said Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral.
State govt on its part will give minimum 20 % subsidy. The goal is to make Goa zero carbon foot print state as regards fossil fuel in 8 to 10 years, he further added.
He said, with the intervention of CESL, the electric two wheeler vehicle subsidy can go upto 50 to 54 %. He also mooted extra 5 % subsidy for motorcycle pilots
