The Arts and Culture Department organized the festival in twelve talukas simultaneously.
More than 90 women teams from Kankon and Kepe talukas participated in this Phugdi, Dhalo festival.
The opening ceremony of this festival was attended by the senior writer of Kankone Kamalakar Mhalshi, senior journalist and folk artist Ajit Painginkar, Director of Art and Culture Department Sagun Velip, Assistant Director Milind Mate, Deputy Director Anand Kavthankar. Phugdi and Dhalo festival has been organized in Barahi taluka of Goa and women are doing the work of culture conservation. Similarly, in some teams there is a picture of mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother and her daughter dancing and the Director of Art and Culture Department Sagun Velip praised the women section in his welcome speech for the work of preserving and promoting culture in the true sense.
The program was moderated by Priyanka Gayak. Ankaksha presented bouquets to the guests. Ramnath Pai, Shubham Naik, Hira Mahale, Reshma Satarkar and other employees cooperated. Assistant Director Milind Mate proposed vote of thanks.
