Panaji: The Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant reviewed the progress of Swayampurna Goa programme for Municipalities in the State.
The Chief Minister impressed upon the officials to workout ten point programme to accomplish the objective Swayampurna Goa.
He said that the slum areas are to be provided care under the objective of housing for all.
He also suggested ensure that the central schemes or state schemes reach the genuine needy people.
The Government has set the target and we have to March in the direction and achieve the target by December 2021.
There are some issues faced by Municipalities land, hoardings etc. are need to addressed he added.
The Chief Minister said that the key points like toilet for all, electricity for all, water supply for all and housing for all are must and need to be dealt with priority without which the goal of Swayampurnaa Goa cannot be achieved he reiterated.
Minister for Urban Development, Shri Milind Naik, Chief Secretary, Parimal Rai IAS, Secretary Urban Development Dr. Tariq Thomas IAS, Secretary Information &Publicity Shri Sanjay Kumar IAS, Director GIPARD Shri Michael D’Souza, Director DMA, Gurudas Pilarnkar, Commissioner Labour, Raju Gawas, Director Higher Education, Prasad Lolyenkar, Assistant Director GIPARD, Seema Fernandes were among those present at the meeting.
