PANAJI: The accused, Priya Yadav, has been charged by the Bicholim police for defrauding a Bicholim resident under false pretenses of offering a job, stores, and real estate.
According to SDPO Jivba Dalvi, Ashok Somnath Panigrahi of Bordem-Bicholim filed a complaint alleging that the accused Priya Yadav of Kolhapur deceitfully persuaded him to give her roughly Rs 18 lakh in various locations and on various occasions between 2017 and 2023.
The accused is accused of citing a number of reasons, including purchasing landed properties, selling stores in Kolhapur, and giving the complainant’s son a position in the railway industry.
Bicholim police have filed a formal complaint against Yadav in this regard.
Yadav is now being held by the police in connection with a second case against her, and it is anticipated that they will take her into custody in this case as well.
