TALEIGAO: Panaji Police have registered a criminal case after a 25-year-old man was allegedly assaulted with a knife and beer bottle near Auxilium School at Taleigao on Wednesday morning.
According to police, complainant Jaivell Shetty, a resident of Calapor, St Cruz, reported that the incident took place on May 21 at around 8:00 am near Auxilium School, Taleigao.
Police said four accused persons, acting in furtherance of their common intention, allegedly wrongfully restrained and assaulted the complainant using a knife and a beer bottle, causing bleeding injuries to his head.
The accused also allegedly abused the victim in filthy language and threatened him with dire consequences over previous enmity.
Based on the complaint, Panaji Police have registered an offence and launched an investigation into the case.
Police informed that multiple teams have been formed to trace and apprehend the accused persons.
