SALIGAO: Saligao Police Station has registered an unnatural death case following the death of a 26-year-old man who allegedly fell from a height while carrying out electrical work at a mosque in Betim.
According to police, Saligao Police registered U.D. No. 20/2026 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita after receiving a wireless message from GMC Casualty through MLC No. 26/3759 informing that Shejad Khan, son of Izaz Khan and a resident of Reis Magos, Goa, was brought dead to the hospital.
During inquiry, police revealed that the deceased was engaged in electrical work at Hamza Masjid located at Ramnagar, Betim, when he is suspected to have accidentally fallen from a height and sustained severe head injuries, leading to his death.
Police later visited the spot and conducted an unnatural death occurrence panchanama.
Officials stated that no foul play is suspected in the death as of now.
