PANAJI: Youth of Pidadigal down Rumba United 3-1 to enter the quarter-finals of the 9-a-side football tournament Organised by Sporting Club Virabhat and played at St.Alex Church ground Curtorim.
In the first session of play, Youth of Pidadigal scored through Anthony Bogot while Jusua missed the opportunity to level the score before halftime. At the breather, the Youth of Pidadigal led 1-0.
After the resumption of the second half, Anthony Bogot scored the second goal for Youth of Pidadigal while Joshua Mascarenhas reduced the margin for Rumba United. In the last quarter, Anthony Bogot completed his Hatric for Pidadigal.
Anthony Fernandes was declared man of the match presented by Mouvin Noronha president of Sporting Club Virabhat.
