PANAJI: Yug Prabhu (1), Ishaan Colaso (3), Yuvaan Sanke, and Kaushik Nair have advanced to the U11 Boys Semi finals at the Priority Gaspar Dias Open – All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2024, taking place at the Gaspar Dias premises in Miramar. The tournament, featuring events in various categories is being organised by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in aegis with the Goa Table Tennis Association.
On the opening day of matches, the Pre-Quarterfinals witnessed intense competition. Yug Prabhu triumphed over Rayansh Sawant with a clean 3-0 victory. Shreysht Rane also secured a 3-0 win against Aarish Shaikh, while Kedar Nair overcame Apoorv Neogi 3-1. Yuvaan Sanke defeated Vihang Jotkar 3-0, and Ashank Dalvi advanced past Kris Silveira via walkover. Ishaan Colaso dominated Adhiraj Badave 3-0, Kaushik Nair bested Kavin Hasija 3-0, and Kavish Dalvi overpowered Prem Chopdekar 3-0. In the Quarterfinals, Yug Prabhu continued his winning streak by defeating Shreysht Rane 3-0. Yuvaan Sanke followed suit, overcoming Kedar Nair 3-0. Ishaan Colaso maintained his impressive form with a 3-0 victory over Ashank Dalvi. In a thrilling match, Kaushik Nair upset the second seed, Kavish Dalvi, with a hard-fought 3-2 win.
Earlier, the tournament’s inauguration was graced by Parind Nachinolkar, Managing Director of Priority Constructions, along with Sudin Verenker, President of the Goa Table Tennis Association, Christopher Menezes, Secretary of the Goa Table Tennis Association, Tanmay Kholkar, Hon. Secretary of Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Edwin Menezes, Vice President of the Goa TT Association, and Sairaj Dhond, Chairperson of the Sports Committee at Clube Tennis de Gaspar
