PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that Agniveers in Goa Police, Fire & Emergency Services, and other uniformed services would receive a 10% reservation from the State government. He claimed that the plan has already been informed.
The Goa government has decided to allocate 10% of its Agniveers from Goa for recruitment purposes in law enforcement, firefighting, and other uniformed services. The Goa government provides this quota, and the central government has already granted them reservations,” he stated.
The CM continued, “We are pushing Goan youth to join Agniveer.” Agniveers are jawans chosen for a four-year term through the Agnipath short-term recruitment program. Goa is one of the locations where recruitment drives are held.
The chief minister announced that there will be a review of the prime minister Narendra Modi’s flagship programs during the meeting that is set to take place in Delhi. Following the Lok Sabha elections, this will be the first meeting.
