PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that a total of 18,662 beneficiaries under age group of 18-44 were administered with first dose of COVISHIELD on first day of Tika Ustav 3.0.
“I thank the people of Goa for the overwhelming response to #TikaUtsav 3.0. I also congratulate the Doctors, Nurses & Healthcare workers for making a successful beginning to this drive by vaccinating 18,662 in a single day,” said CM Sawant
He further appealed the people of Goa to continue this momentum to achieve 100% vaccination.
The Goa government on Wednesday announced that it will host “Tika Utsav 3.0”, a vaccination festival across the state to inoculate maximum population in the age group of 18 to 44 years against COVID-19.
The state government has held two “Tika Utsavs” in the past involving all panchayats and municipal councils.
Sawant further said the opposition parties were “unnecessarily” criticising the Tika Utsavs, when they had been garnering good response from the public.
