PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that 25939 individuals have surrendered their Indian Passport in the state of Goa from 01/01/2014 to 31/03/2024 as per the report of RRRO-Goa.

He further said that the Government has not given a misleading reply. FRRO Goa has shared the information based on directions of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
“However the information collected cannot be furnished as it is very bulky and excessive in length, same cannot be furnished as per Rule No. 37(3) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Goa Legislative Assembly 1992,” he said.
Sawant said that the Government of Goa was not the party to any of the matters before the High Court of Bombay at Goa.
“With respect to submissions/affidavits filed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs, the reply is awaited from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs,” he said.
