PANAJI: With 32,000 scans completed under the AstraZeneca-DHS Goa partnership, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the state is making significant strides in early cancer detection.
Rane said that this initiative aligns with the vision of our PM Narendra Modi, who, during his #MannKiBaat address, highlighted the importance of timely treatment.
“Early detection not only saves lives but also ensures that healthcare reaches those who need it the most, transforming outcomes for countless families. Goa is dedicated to continuing this progress by using advanced technologies and community programs to make preventive healthcare accessible to everyone,” said Rane
Through focused efforts and partnerships, Raen said that state aims to ensure that every individual receives the benefits of early diagnosis and timely care.
“Advanced technology is giving Goa’s healthcare system a significant edge. We have introduced Digital Neuropathy Screeners, Digital Stethoscopes and AI-powered X-rays at 11 centres to make diagnoses more precise and timely,” he added
Rane said that with state-of-the-art facilities like the Molecular Lab and additional Cath Lab at
GMC, Goa is setting benchmarks for tech-driven healthcare. In the coming years, these innovations will pave the way for even more transformative advancements.
