The State Government has made elaborate arrangements to conduct the entrance examination for engineering and medical- JEE-NEET, which will be answered by 5,412 students across 17 centers.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) will be held this week from September 1-6, while National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled on September 13.
The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today morning held meeting with Secretary Education Nila Mohanan, Director Education, Technical Education and Higher Education and directed them to ensure that all necessary support is provided for successful conduct of examination.
Sawant told reporters that government is prepared to hold the examinations ensuring that safety guidelines are followed.
The JEE examination will be held at two centers namely SRIEIT Shiroda and TCS at Patto Plaza, Panaji, whereas the NEET will be held at 15 centers which include four Kendriya Vidalaya, four private schools and government and private colleges.
“Instructions to District collectors and Superintendents of police of North and South have been issued to provide all assistance for facilitating and maintaining the law and order situation,” CMO said in a press statement issued.
The electricity department will ensure uninterrupted power supply, it added.
