PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant that 70 per cent of the eligible population has taken the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine and that by October 31, Goa will complete 100 per cent vaccination.
“70 per cent eligible population has taken 2nd dose in the state, and the target is to vaccinate balance by October 31,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that Goa gave the best Covid treatment in the country as Goa was the only state to provide free treatment for covid in govt hospitals and private hospitals.
Further, the Chief Minister stated that the state’s Covid problem is under control. He explained that while instances in neighbouring states like Kerala and Maharashtra have increased, they are still under control. He advised everyone to take the second dose on time.
According to the Health Ministry, six States, including Goa, Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim, have completed 100 per cent first dose vaccination of the eligible population.
