PANJIM: Goa today reported 643 new cases. Also there were 446 recoveries and 8 deaths. A 12 year old boy from Pernem today succumbed to the virus.
As per the DHS bulletin, A 12-year-old boy succumbed to Covid in Goa today. He is the youngest victim of the dreaded disease in the state and one amongst the 8 lives claimed by Covid in the last 24-hours.
The boy was suffering from leukemia with intra cranial bleed and covid infection was an incidental finding in him stated the mortality bulletin issued by DHS today.
Another 25-year-old woman from Socorro, Porvorim who was taking treatment in the hospital since July 27 died of Covid yesterday. 60–year-old woman from Aggacaim, 61–year-old woman from Cortalim , 70–year-old man from Betora , 68–year-old man from Karaswada,Mapusa , 78–year-old man from Verna and a 67–year-old man from Moira were the other victims of Covid.
Of the 8 deaths , 6 were reported at GMC and 2 at ESI Hospital, Margao.
2 patients expired within less than 24 hours of admission in the hospital. With these 8 deaths the death toll of Goa has mounted to 343.
