MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party candidate Joseph Pimenta filed the nomination for the June 23 Benaulim Zilla Parishad bypolls.
His candidature was supported by the INDIA bloc parties of Congress, Goa Forward, Shiv Sena and the NCP.
Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao who was present for the filing of the nomination laid down to rest the confusion.
“Congress party has decided to support the AAP candidate under the INDIA Alliance banner,” he announced.
