The Aam Aadmi Party’s Rozgar Yatra in Ponda and Thivim attracted large crowds today. Residents of both Assemblies attended to learn more about the Job Guarantee by Arvind Kejriwal. Booth level meeting held after the yatra 100s of residents. Goenkars across the state have responded positively to the campaign with 5000 people registering for Kejriwal’s Job Guarantee daily

Arvind Kejriwal on his last visit to Goa had announced his guarantee of providing employment to every youth if the Aam Aadmi Party government is formed in the state. He said that every youth will be given employment after the formation of the AAP government and till the employment is not provided, one youth of every family will be given Rs 3,000 per month. He announced that 80 percent of jobs in the private sector will be reserved for the youth of Goa. Rs 5,000 would be provided monthly to families who lost employment due to shutdown of tourism and mining. AAP Government will further establish a Skill University in Goa on the lines of Delhi’s DSEU. He further said that AAP will bring an end to nepotism in government jobs in Goa and the jobs will be made available to the common man
Presently, the issues faced in the constituency of Thivim, is a high rate of unemployment, as there is no arrangements for jobs made by either the Govt or the MLA. Secondly there’s also no transparency in allocation of government jobs. All this has led to a lot of frustration. The youth of Thivim are very impressed with Arvind Kejriwal’s idea of Skill University. Taxi owners of Thivim have found it tough to manage, due to loss of business during Covid, to aggravate further was to care for the Covid infected, which worsened their financial situation.
The Thivim Yatra was led by Rasesh Bondre, AAP Thivim Assembly Incharge. “The Youth of Thivim are standing with Aam Aadmi Party as they believe Arvind Kejriwal’s promise that when AAP is brought to power, every youth will be given employment after the formation of the AAP government and till the employment is not provided, one youth of every family will be given Rs.3000 per month. Youth are excited about the announcement that 80 percent of jobs in the private sector will be reserved for the youth of Goa. “ said Rasesh Bondre AAP Thivim Assembly incharge
In Ponda, the BJP and Congress are both cheating the youth from jobs. The youth of Ponda have been ignored when Government Jobs were being allocated. Here as well the idea of Skill University has attracted the youth as they want to be job ready.
Adv. Surel Tilve, Vice President AAP & Ponda Assembly incharge flagged the Rozgar Yatra at Ponda. “The Youth of Ponda are looking for jobs, time and again they have been ignored for Govt jobs and private jobs. They are excited that AAP will bring transparency to the recruitment process giving every one an equal opportunity to get jobs” said Adv. Surel Tilve, Vice President AAP & Ponda Assembly incharge
