DELHI: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today claimed that BJP Central Leadership will not go ahead with CM Pramod Sawant as it’s Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Goa Assembly Elections.
“As per the current news, BJP has listed out 10 points of failure of Pramod Sawant in Goa, and he will be replaced as Chief Ministerial face for upcoming elections,” said Sisodia.
He further said that the central BJP leader believes that Pramod Sawant led government failed to deliver during the COVID-19.
“He failed to provide services to people during COVID19 crises on all fronts, ambulance, oxygen and beds,” said Sisodia.
He said that other issues that were taken up were the labour gate scam and the attempt to divert those funds to karyakartas.
“Pramod Sawant has brought global shame on Goa due to his sheer ineptitude and yet he has the audacity to make sweeping statements saying that his Govt has made Goa no 1 in education,” he added.
He said his party was the alternative to the BJP in Goa at a time when the opposition in the state was weak and was doing “what the BJP wants them to do”.
Sisodia said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will contest the next assembly elections from all the 40 constituencies in Goa and expressed confidence that the party will form the next government in the state.
“‘AAP will contest all the 40 constituencies in Goa, and as far as I can see, the next government in the state would be of AAP’ he added.
He said those who were feeling suffocated in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress were welcome to join AAP.
“There are many people who feel that vision of Parrikar is not being fulfilled, and his vision has been buried by the BJP. I do not want them to feel suffocated.
