PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has claimed that all those who are involved in the cash for jobs scam, including politicians if any, will be dealt with accordingly only if someone identifies a political leader who asked money for the job.
According to Sawant, the SSC has already started hiring for ministerial positions, and new positions for the upcoming year are also being filled by appropriate departments and ministries.
“Ministers’ opinions regarding South-South cooperation don’t matter to me… The state’s and the people’s interests are taken into consideration in this choice.
When asked if there is a lot of opposition to the SSC in the office, Sawant responded, “The SSC turned out to be a transparent process… SSC will never be canceled and will continue.”
The Chief Minister added that the establishment of the Civil Service Commission was in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policy directive, which called on all states to establish such autonomous organizations for open hiring.
Sawant, meanwhile, reaffirmed that the opposition would face a defamation lawsuit for allegedly accusing him and his family of having cash-related occupations.
He added that action would be taken if someone came forward and claimed to have paid politicians money in exchange for government posts.
