PANAJI: Imagine Panaji Smart City Private Ltd (IPSCDL) CEO and MD Sanjit Rodrigues his department has understood the gravity of the situation and all efforts are being made to see that Panaji gets the benefits of all Smart City Works.
“We recognise the seriousness of the situation and are making every effort to ensure that Panjim benefits from the Smart City initiatives,” Rodrigues stated.
He went on to say that there is no one to blame at this moment. According to Rodrigues, all agencies are collaborating and have come together.
“Panaji must reap the rewards of his labour. We are making the greatest effort we can,” he continued.
The Smart City project has been delayed by the severe rains, according to CEO and MD Rodrigues, but no further time has been allowed.
“We now know where to direct our attention. Our main goal is to unclog as many drain and road intersections as possible. That will be our main concern. Work on roads and pavements would undoubtedly continue, he stated.
Additionally, Smart City stated that linking drains is now receiving more attention. The amount of wetness in certain areas has caused work to be postponed.
“We have dragged up one or two contractors who have caused delays in the project. A course of action is being suggested.” He continued
