MAPUSA: An ambulance parked at Shetye Vision Hospital, Dhuler, was allegedly stolen early Thursday morning, prompting Mapusa Police to launch an investigation.
According to a complaint filed by Intekhalo Abbas Shaikh (40), Administrator of Vision Hospital, the incident occurred on December 11 between 5.50 am and 6.08 am at the hospital’s ground-floor parking area.
Police said the accused, Pradeep Devu Khalap, a resident of Pirna in Bardez, allegedly entered the parking lot and decamped with a white Maruti Eeco ambulance (GA 03 AH 4250) valued at around ₹10 lakh.
The vehicle, registered in 2022, carries chassis number MA3ERLF1S00A45178 and engine number G12BN1100268.
Mapusa Police have registered an offence, and further investigation is in progress.
