ANJUNA: Anjuna Police Station, in collaboration with various schools in the region, successfully organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking. The campaign aimed to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse while emphasizing the importance of treating people who use drugs with respect and empathy.
Under the supervision of North SP Nidhin Valsan, SDPO Jivba Dalavi, and Anjuna PI Prasal Dessai, along with the Anjuna Police staff, a vibrant and impactful rally was organized to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse and illicit trafficking. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students from Siolim SFX School, Kirti Vidhyalay Siolim, Vasanth Vidhyalay, Jerome School, Sacred Heart School Anjuna, St. Joseph School Arpora, St. Michael High School Vagator, and Union High School Assagao.
The campaign’s central message emphasized the importance of providing evidence-based, voluntary services for individuals who use drugs, offering alternatives to punishment, prioritizing prevention efforts, and approaching the issue with compassion.
