MOPA: Mopa Airport police have registered a case against two residents for allegedly assaulting a 28-year-old man over a dispute related to the taxi business.
The complaint was filed by Sandeep Bavkar, a resident of Nagzar, Pernem, who reported being verbally abused, threatened, and physically assaulted by the suspects. The altercation occurred at the airport, highlighting tensions within the local taxi business community.
Sandeep Bavkar alleged that Manoj and Harshal, both residents of Ozarim, Pernem, were involved in the assault.
According to Bavkar’s complaint, the two men used obscene language, issued death threats, and physically attacked him with fists and slaps. The dispute is believed to have originated from a disagreement over the taxi business operations at the airport.
The Mopa Airport Police have taken swift action by registering an FIR against the two suspects. The case is currently being investigated by LPSI Sashanka Parab. The police are examining the circumstances surrounding the altercation and gathering evidence to build a strong case against the accused.
