Atharv Dhulapkar will meet Rishan Shaikh in the U15 Boys finals at the Priority Gaspar Dias Open All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament. The tournament organized by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in collaboration with the Goa Table Tennis Association witnessed exciting matches on day three, featuring events in U15 and U17 boys section at the Gaspar Dias premises in Miramar. Atharv Dhulapkar registered a sensational upset win over top seed Chandan Caro to storm into the U15 Boys finals. Atharv appeared down and out at 6-10 in the decider but displayed remarkable resilience, winning six points in a row to secure an impressive 8-11, 11-2, 6-11, 11-8, 12-10 victory.
The second U15 Boys semi-final was equally engrossing, with Rishan Shaikh facing a tough challenge from rising talent Dhruva Kamat. Dhruva was two sets up before the second seed staged a strong comeback, winning the next two sets. With the match evenly poised at two sets apiece, Rishan dominated the final set to win 10-12, 5-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-5. Earlier in the quarters, Chandan beat Chinmay Bakhare 3-1, Atharv beat Amaan Ahmad 3-0, Dhruva Kamat advanced over Yug Prabhu via walkover, and Rishan Shaikh defeated Ruhaan Shaikh 3-0.
Meanwhile, in the U17 Boys section, Aaron Farias, Atharv Dhulapkar, Chinmay Bakhare, Dhruva Kamat, Khushal Naik, Rishan Shaikh, Surendra Chube, and Chandan Caro have advanced to the last eight.
