Pernem Police have continued thier raids against drugs activities in Pernem.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi reliable information was received regarding one Austrian National involved in illegal drug activities. Accordingly a team was formed and a raid was conducted during evening hours of 29/11/2020 and the accused person was caught red handed with possession of Charas worth Rs. 1,20,000/-. The raid was conducted at Thorlebag, Keri, Pernem.
Accused person namely Mr Stefan Hechenberger, age 43 years, Austrian National has been placed under arrest under section 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act and is currently in Police custody.
It is learnt that accused person has history of illegal drug peddling and was earlier arrested by Goa Police in 2008.
Team was led by PI Jivba Dalvi with PSI Vivek Halarnkar, Praful Giri , pc Vinod Pednekar, Mithil Parab , Anishkumar Poke , Ravi Mhaloji , jivan Govekar, yashudhar Ugwekar, Dayesh Khandeparkar.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of SDPO Gajanan Prabhudessai and SP NORTH Ukrisht Prasoon.
