Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: The High Court has granted bail to Samuel alias Samuel Premkumar Pujari and Gautam alias Gautam Rajendra Talwar, both residents of Mapusa, who were arrested by Colvale police on June 16 this year under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The duo had been taken into custody for allegedly throwing packets containing ganja into the premises of Colvale Jail. Following their arrest, they were booked under provisions of the NDPS Act. Granting them bail, the court imposed conditions to ensure their cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: Panic broke out at the Ashtami Fair on the Mandovi promenade in Panaji on Saturday morning when a private passenger bus lost control and crashed into the fair around 8.30 am. Three persons sustained injuries in the mishap, with one of them rushed to hospital for treatment. Several stalls and items displayed for sale by vendors were badly damaged in the accident. A parked scooter and the bus stop shade were also crushed in the impact. Police rushed to the site soon after the incident and began investigations into the cause of the accident.
