Team Goemkarponn CANACONA: Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar on Wednesday inspected the proposed site for a new Anganwadi at Karvem in Gaondongrim village, Canacona taluka. Officials from various departments, including Assistant Engineer of the Canacona Electricity Department Govind Bhat, local leaders, Speaker’s office staff and villagers, joined the inspection. Tawadkar also presented the design and layout of the upcoming Anganwadi to the officials present. Team Goemkarponn RUMDAMOL: Maina Curtorim Police, along with Childline officials, rescued 17 minor boys from an illegally run madrassa at Rumdamol Housing Board near Anjuman High School. Police said they received information about an unauthorized madrassa being operated by Tauqir Alam Noori under the name Raza-E-Khwaja Garib Nawaz Institute. A team visited the premises and found that Noori failed to produce any registration documents for the institute. During the raid, 17 minors were found at the madrassa.
