Team Goemkarponn PERNEM: Pernem Police have arrested the absconding driver of a container truck that was found transporting illicit liquor worth around ₹60 lakh after a fire incident in June this year. On June 17, the container truck caught fire at Mahakhajan, Dhargal, in Pernem. Fire and Emergency Services personnel broke open the sealed container while dousing the blaze, only to discover 1,286 boxes of liquor of various brands inside. Team Goemkarponn VALPOI: The long-pending process of approving forest rights in Sattari taluka has finally gained momentum, with 29 claims from the villages of Koparde, Malpan and Satre approved at the district level. The decision was taken in a special meeting chaired by North Goa District Collector Ankit Yadav.
