In the third week of January of next year, the Apex Court will consider the contempt pleas and special leave applications submitted by the three riparian states of Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. The defendants are Yuraj Gawade, 31, from Bicholim; Vishnudas Bhomkar, 42, from Carambolim; Yeshwant Kholkar, 37, from Taleigao; Bindi Parab, 34, from Cumbarjua; and Bhavesh Haldankar, 33, from Chorao.
