Goemkarponn desk PANAJI: Haryana native Manjit Tomar accused of killing receptionist of a boutique hotel in Ximer, Candolim in 2016 has been sentenced to life imprisonment by North Goa Principal District and Sessions Court in Panaji. 33-year-old Manjit has also been sentenced to two years imprisonment and a fine of Rs one lakh for destroying evidence. New Delhi: In a significant order weeks before the elections, the Supreme Court has once again refused to order a stay on the law to appoint election commissioners, stating that doing so at this stage would be “creating chaos”.
