Goemkarponn desk CARANZALEM: History-sheeter from Taleigao was attacked by 4 masked assailants with a knife at Tonca, Caranzalem. The victim identified as Suryakant Kambli alias Surya was assaulted and attacked with a knife. The murderous attack has left him severely injured. Kambli was shifted to GMC Hospital for treatment. Police suspect previous enmity to be the reason behind the attack. Suryakant has sustained severe injuries to his face and full body. Suryakant is involved in multiple criminal cases across Goa which includes assault, posession of weapons, death threats.

Goemkarponn desk Panaji: The Goa government will conduct aerial surveillance through drones at wildlife sanctuaries and forest areas to track movement and curb forest fires, state minister Vishwajit Rane said on Monday. The state government is also taking the help of Forest Survey of India to monitor the movement in these areas, he added. “Around 600 existing trackers would be given refresher training by December 31 to get them ready to tackle any disaster in wildlife areas and forests. The accident occurred when the deceased girl identified as Sanjana Sawant was going to drop her sister to Higher Secondary School at Pillar.
