PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that students need to take education in the fields where jobs are available.
“We need to take education in the fields where jobs are available, we need to take education considering the availability of jobs or should think of self-employment. Everyone can’t get government jobs,” said Sawant.
He further said 100 per cent youth of Goa can get jobs, which are available in the private sector.
” How about working as a plumbing contractor? Every time, plumbers charge about Rs 500. They now charge more than physicians do. He remarked, “There are a ton of alternatives here (in ITIs).
According to Sawant, plumbers who provide “on call” services make about Rs 60,000 a month. “Not everyone has the ability to become a doctor, engineer, or clerk,” he remarked, advising pupils to pursue further education.
“Goa offers numerous options for those interested in wellness travel. An ad for a “Panchkarma” assistant appeared three months ago.
“We trained 1500 youths in the aviation cell so they could work at Mopa airport,” Sawant stated.
He claimed that there are several jobs in the state’s hospitality industry that young people can take advantage of.
