Interestingly, Freedom Fighter Alfred Afonso is better known as Terekhol Veer. Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: In all 130 persons died and 139 were grievously injured in road accidents in Goa in the past 6 months from March to August 2023 as per statistics released by the Directorate of Transport. 1,410 accidents were recorded in the State in these 6 months. The Dept issued 30,855 challans to traffic violators during this period.
