Goemkarponn desk Ponda: Five males all in their 20s had their jeep dangerously caught in the river near Dudhsagar waterfalls when they decided to drive through. On reaching the halfway mark, the vehicle stalled. The swelling waters gushed in and they were unable to get out due to the force of the water. Drishti lifesavers on duty at Dudhsagar were alerted and rushed to aid in the rescue. Lifesavers Niraj, Devendra, Hanuman, Vithal and Shanu secured all and brought to safety. Efforts are still underway to assist with recovery of the vehicle.
