As per the DHS bulletin, yhe victims include 72 year old male from Bardez, 55 year old female from Sancoale, 78 year old female from Ponda, 60 year old male from Savoi-verem, 80 year old female from Benaulim, 73 year old female from Mayem, 51 year old male from Fatorda succumbed to the virus. Meanwhile, there are 4783 active cases, total deaths are 491 and the samples tested today 1843.

Panjim With poor response to the Central government’s ambitious PM-KISAN scheme, the State agriculture department has roped in Postal department to get 11,000 farmers registered under the scheme. Under the scheme, the farmers get upto Rs 6,000 per year, in three installments, as minimum support. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture Chandrakant Kavlekar said that there are total 21,000 registered farmers eligible for benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana scheme. “But till date, only 10,000 farmers have enrolled themselves.
