The Goa Police Crime Branch on Tuesday raided a gambling den in a flat at Abhiyant valley, Khorlim Mapusa and arrested three persons alongwith cash of Rs 4.9 lakhs. According to information the den was operated by Ashok Naik alias mama on behalf of suspected person. Three individuals arrested were – Vipul Nerulkar, Sunil Chavan and Adav Dsouza. Further investigation on to reveal chain of individuals and their main influential conspirator involved on this illegal trade All accused have been released on bail Sources further revealed that the flat belongs to ex MLA Kiran Kandolkar.

PANJIM: Goa today witnessed 381 new Covid postive cases. While there were 709 recoveries and 12 deaths taking the total death toll to 419. As per DHS bulletin, of the 12 deaths 8 were reported at GMC, 2 at ESI Hospital while one patient was brought dead at Asilo Hospital, Mapusa. The report by DHS also stated that one Covid positive patient expired at home after the patient took a discharge from the hospital against medical advice.
PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has left for Delhi tonight to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for discussing issues of mining resumption and financial condition of the State. The Chief Minister in a video message said that the meeting with the PM has been finalised for tomorrow. “This is the first meeting with the PM after the lockdown and various issues will be discussed including Financial status and mining resumption,” he said. The All Goa Private bus owners association has demanded that the State government immediately waive off one year passenger tax and road tax for their buses or face agitation from the bus owners.
