Police said they received a call from Saiesh Prabhu of Cuncolim at 7.59 am, informing them of the incident. The deceased had used a nylon rope tied to a window grill as the ligature material. Team Goemkarponn CALANGUTE: Calangute police on September 29, 2025, registered U.D. No. 56/2025 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) after receiving information from an unknown caller at around 12.53 pm regarding a body lying in a decomposed state. Police rushed to the spot and found the body of an unidentified male near Our Lady of Boa Viagem Chapel at Naika Waddo, Calangute, Bardez.
