Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: The State government has amended the Goa Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Rules, 1975, paving the way for Industrial Training Institute (ITI) students to secure recognition equivalent to SSC and HSSC certificates. Under the revised rules, students who have passed Class VIII and completed a two-year ITI course at a recognised centre, along with clearing the National or State Council for Vocational Training (NCVT/SCVT) exam, will be treated as SSC equivalent. Team Goemkarponn BICHOLIM: Bicholim Police rescued a minor girl who had gone missing from Kudchirem, Bicholim, and arrested a 19-year-old youth from Maharashtra in connection with the case.
