PERNEM: Union Minister of state for Defence, Shripad Naik today said that Ayurvedic OPD will commence in 8-10 months in the Phase-I of the AYUSH hospital, which is under construction, at Dhargal, Pernem.
Inaugurated ‘Tika Utsav’ for the onsite workers of under construction AYUSH hospital at Dhargal, Pernem, Naik said that during these tough times of Covid-19, vaccination is very important. He thanked the Directorate of Health Services for providing onsite vaccination for the workers.
Union Minister further said that, government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given utmost importance to vaccination. He urged citizens to be part of the largest vaccination drive.
“Ayurvedic OPD will commence in 8-10 months in the Phase-I of the project of ongoing construction of All India Institute of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy,” informed Naik.
The institute is the extension of All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi.
The 250 bedded hospital will also cater 500 students every year offering undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD degrees. The Ayurveda department has a 100 bed facility and Naturopathy has 150 bed capacity. Yoga department with facility of Diabetic Clinic, Cardiac Care Unit including Yoga therapy room for 30 patients. Institute includes a Medical College with hostel facilities for Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yoga. The institute will also boost health tourism, said Shripad Naik.
