PONDA: The Crime Branch today has filed an application before the Ponda JMFC pleading to cancel the bail plea of accused Adv Amit Palekar.
The Crime Branch during the hearing contended that that Palekar travelled outside India without obtaining prior permission from the Court as per his bail condition.
The Additional Sessions Judge had granted conditional bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa President Advt Amit Palekar, even as the Court acknowledged the Crime Branch’s (CB) submission indicating conspiracy into shielding the prime accused Paresh Sawardekar involved in the Banastarim fatal accident.
“The CB team has collected required material to know the role of the applicant (Palekar) in an alleged criminal conspiracy which brings out reasonable grounds to believe the existence of a conspiracy,” ASJ Cholu Gauns had observed in the 28-page order.
