PONDA; Bandora former Sarpanch Rajesh Naik is unhappy over reservation of Wards for Panchayat Election. He said the Panchayat Election should be held by State Election Commission only after proper reservation of Wards.
He said there is a need for proper correction.
He said in eleven members of Panchayat, the Wards reserved for ladies are 9, 10 and 11. He said while reserving such wards, the Election Commission should study reservations of the past two elections (terms) and then only decide on the reservation.
Similarly, he pointed out that in Ward number three, only 32 voters belong to ST, but the same is reserved for ladies for ST.
He also said the Election should not be held during the rainy season.
It will inconvenience voters and officials as all know that it rains heavily during monsoon season. He said elections should be held only after the rainy season. Similarly, it should be declared only after reservations for OBCs are declared.
